Applied GCE

This qualification provides a broad educational basis for further education or for moving into employment within the ICT sector. You will develop the general skills, knowledge and understanding needed within the sector. In particular, you will develop:

Knowledge and understanding of the components, functions and applications of informaton systems within a range of organisations
An understanding of the main principles of solving problems using ICT
An understanding of the impact of information systems on organisations' personnel , policies and practices
Project management skills and an understanding of the need to work with others
Software system design skills to meet the needs of an end user
An understanding of networks and communications.
